Description:
This part is fasten to the bottom of the chair by 4 bolts
and the back is attached by 4 bolts. When the chrome arm is pushed
forward it allows the back to lay back for shampooing. Earlier
models
were all chrome today they only come with the bottom and back
portion painted black and only the arm is chrome.

* Thick Steel Part *
This is the Part That Locks the Shaft * Not Allowing the Shaft to Turn
* A Large Thick Steel Part in a Horse Shoe Shape with holes in the ends allowing a bolt to go thru one side and threaded into the other side
Once installed and Adjusted when you raise the foot pump it will raise
the arm attached to this part Squezzing the part tight against the pump shaft so the shaft can not turn.
* Adjustment is need to get the part to the proper thigtness so it will
be loose when not need and tight enough to lock the shaft to keep it from turning.

** Why this part needs to be replaced: Once the part has been tighten
to the tightes posistion then it will not loosen up which will make it hard to pump up the pump and Especialy Not allowing the pump to be lowered.
